Though it is late in the punk rock movement, four Dublin youths get together in 1979 to form their own band. Accurately recounting the energy and rawness of the era, this drama follows their tumultuous and ill-fated journey on the rocky road to success. It takes three long years of unpaid performing for Reena, her lover Jessop, bassist Joe and drummer Petie to make a name for The Dead Patriots. Just as they are about to find real success, internal difficulties arise that leave each of them suspicious and mistrustful of the other.

On the last day of location filming of the last episode of the last season of a hit cable TV show, two aging hipsters from Austin, Texas miss the last background extras bus to the "secret" filming location base camp in a small Texas town. With their vehicle out of gas and our heroes out of cash, hoping to hit it big on the daily informal "how many takes will be needed per scene" lottery, they are required to hitch-hike to where they think the base camp is located in the small town. After run-ins with law enforcement, a trucker, girls on their way to Padre Island for Spring Break, and bikers, among others, they finally reach the outskirts of town, only to learn that the entire cast and crew has been accidentally killed or injured in a pyrotechnics stunt gone awry, for which they are blamed by their critics on social media.

Billy, a streetwise kid from New York City, is sent to Nebraska and is taken in by a Swedish farm family, the Andersons. Initially fearful and resentful, Billy doesn’t fit in, and he clashes with his new family and adoptive father (Frank Converse). Not until a terrible crisis occurs does Billy realize that, for the first time in his life, he truly belongs and is Home At Last.
